Lori Gray Photography, Edu
No matter where you are on your photography journey, Lori Gray Photography is here to help. It seems like only yesterday that I got my first camera as a Christmas present. I had no idea that I would love it so much and not be able to put it down. What started out as just my desire to take better pictures of my own kids playing sports has turned into a thriving portrait photography business. Allow me to save you tons of time, and teach you all the things I wish I'd known when I was starting out.
Camera Training 101
No experience required
This is the perfect class for the beginner who wants to get off of Auto and learn how to get sharper more creative images. In this class, we will spend time learning your most important camera settings and buttons. You will learn about the exposure triangle, which is necessary for taking great pictures in manual (M) mode. Come learn my formula for finding great light and the settings I use to create sharp images with a creamy artistic background.
This course will last for 1 hour and will include up to 4 students. These classes will usually take place at predetermined times and locations that will be advertised occasionally on Facebook. However, if you have a group of 4 who have a date that works for everybody, I am open to matching my schedule to yours if possible. If you would prefer to work one-on-one this class is available as a one-on-one experience for $150 on evenings or weekends, or $100 for weekdays, during the work day.

Manual Mode Magic
Camera Training 101 recommended
This one hour class will build off of everything you learned in Camera Training 101. Most people who have taken Camera Training 101 feel like they have the head knowledge but still don't feel comfortable in manual mode and feel they are too slow in adjusting their settings. We will spend the entire hour doing hands-on practice in manual mode, to help you gain confidence and speed. We will take a walk, look for great light and take test shots together that will challenge you to get the most out of your manual settings.

Be The Second Shooter
Manual Mode Magic recommended
Or I'll be your second shooter. I guess it doesn't really matter who is the first shooter and who is the second shooter. In this one hour class, we will work together to find great light, pose the subject or subjects, talk through manual settings in each situation, etc... You get to come along behind the scenes of a shoot and learn what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. Or you can take the lead and I'll be there as a reference while you are shooting to help answer questions if you get stuck. I will bring my camera and plan on shooting. I will edit the images I take and make them available for purchase from an online gallery. This is a great way to learn during a live session, while having the confidence of knowing I'll be getting some great shots in case you miss a shot, miss focus, or just want to jump in a few of the family pictures.
This 1 hour class is a combination between a class and a session. You are responsible for providing subjects for the session. It could be your own child or children, your friend's children, a patient family or your own family, or even a family pet. Be The Second Shooter classes can take place during any available weekday session and is limited to one student.
